we're playing at a benefit concert for the invisible children wednesday night @ thrio's in arkadelphia. the $3 cover goes directly to the invisible children fund. the show starts at 8:00, and there are some other bands playing, as well. hope to see you there.

i know this is short warning, but if any of you live in or near el dorado, we're playing a show there tonight. it's at the cellar, whatever that is, with stained glas masquerade and catelina. show starts at 8, and it costs $3. the address is 107 S. Jefferson Ave., El Dorado, AR.

so two months later, i'll update ya'll on father maple.

this past weekend we went up to jonesboro to play at powerhouse and then lead worship for white hall fbc's youth retreat, and it turned out to be a pretty interesting weekend in the life of our band. first, the powerhouse thing didn't happen, and i'm not gonna talk about that because it'll just make me mad, and i want to be happy. overall, the retreat went well, i thought. we enjoyed being there, and we got to play a concert for the kids on sunday night. i think some of them really had a good time, and we even sold 17 cds, so that's awesome...for us.

perhaps the most exciting thing ever so far, we will be opening for andrew osenga AND derek webb on march 31, in arkadelphia. this is andrew's cd release show for his upcoming album, and is also the first time that derek and andrew have played together. so basically you're gonna want to come and witness history and get your world rocked by these two amazing songwriters. it really is going to be a stupendous night.

hey ya'll, thanks to everyone that came out to the show at thrio's on saturday night. i think we can all agree that andrew osenga was amazing. i don't even know if i should say anything else about it...we had a great time playing, both during our set and while playing with andy. i mean...wow! andy was extremely cool to let us jam with him a little, and he's great fun to hang out with, too. also huge thanks to nick flora for playing acoustic and keys with us, and especially for that amazing intro he wrote for our new song. anyway, we had a blast and i could go on and on about it, but i won't, for your sake. thanks again to everyone that came out and showed that arkadelphia can (and will) support good music.

Hey there all you Father Maple fans. Tommorrow night Nov.12th at 7:45 we will be playing a really big show for us. We are playing with Nashville singer songwritter and current member of caedmon's call Andrew Osenga. We are playing a few of his songs with him, so you should come out and support us. We will also be playing a couple of our new tunes, and our dear friend Nick Flora will be playing keyboard and acoustic with us. If you are in the area you should come out.

We played a fun show in magnolia at SAU last night. Thank you to all of the people who came and especially to mandy and the crew who run the Chi Alpha house. It was fun.
We have some exciting shows in the work so make sure you check out this site and the myspace to keep up with us. October is going to be kind of slow because our drummer boy zah is a host in tiger tunes, but november and december are looking like they are going to be pretty exciting.
If there is a show in your area, please come on out, or if you know of a place that is looking for bands, get us in. We are trying to play as much as possible.
